Born on November 11, 1997, Indian cricketer Mayank Markande hails from Patiala and is a member of Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. In February 2019, Markande made his international debut for the Indian cricket team. Markande became the 79th player to represent India in the T20I, the shortest and the fastest format of the game when he played against Australia. Markande is widely known as a young leg-spinner and in 2018, at the age of 20, he made his List A and T20 debuts for Punjab. He made his debut in the IPL in 2018 and played for the Mumbai Indians franchise. Markande is expected to be the next big thing to come out of the rich spin-stables of India.
