Shweta Bachchan Nanda is an Indian author, columnist, and former model born on March 17, 1974. She was born to Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan and married Nikhil Nanda, Chairman and Managing Director of Escorts Group, in 1997. Actor and film producer Abhishek Bachchan is her younger brother. She modeled for the first time for a magazine called 'L'Officiel India' in September 2006. Also, she has worked as a columnist for publications including 'Vogue India' and 'Daily News and Analysis'. In 2018, she launched her own fashion label called MXS. Nanda is the author of the bestseller 'Paradise Towers', her debut novel published by HarperCollins. Some of the books she has written forewords for include Aishwarya R Dhanush's 'Standing on an Apple Box: The Story of a Girl among the Stars' (2016) and Rukhsana Eisa's 'The Golden Code: Mastering the Art of Social Success'. Since 2018, she has also been a brand ambassador for Kalyan Jewellers.
