Adam Douglas Driver is a Hollywood actor and former United States Marine, with several blockbuster movies and critically acclaimed television dramas under his belt. He was born on November 19, 1983, in California, and joined the US Marine service in 2001. In 2004, he was medically discharged from his duties after he sustained a shoulder injury. He made his first television appearance in 2009 with the crime drama ‘The Unusuals.’ He got a major breakthrough as an actor with the HBO comedy-drama series ‘Girls’ (2012-2017). Some of his notable television dramas include ‘You Don’t Know Jack’ (2010), ‘The Simpsons’ (2015), and ‘Saturday Night Live,’ in which he was the host for three episodes. He made his Hollywood debut in the 2011 biographical movie ‘J Edgar.’ He gained popularity with the ‘Star Wars' trilogy (2015-2019). He has also worked with Broadway theater shows including ‘Mrs. Warren’s Profession,’ ‘Man and Boy,’ and ‘Burn This.’ He was conferred with the Venice Film Festival Volpi Cup and has received two Academy Award nominations, two Golden Globe Award nominations, and four Emmy Award nominations.
