Kailash Vijayvargiya: News
Kailash Vijayvargiya is an Indian politician who is serving as the National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party, as of 2021. He began his career in politics in the Indore Bharatiya Janata Party and had also served as the mayor of Indore. He has been a state government cabinet minister for more than 12 years and a six-time legislator who has never lost an assembly election. Vijayvargiya was born on May 13, 1956, in Madhya Pradesh. In 1975, he started his political journey by joining the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). In 1983, he was appointed as the corporator of the Indore Municipal Corporation and in 1985, he was appointed as a member of the standing committee. In 2014, Vijayvargiya was in-charge of the BJP’s Haryana state assembly election campaign, when the party registered its first win in the Haryana state assembly election. In 2015, he was also declared the party leader for West Bengal as the party won 18 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha election. In 2021, Vijayvargiya was included in the list of top 100 influential persons in India. He had also led the Indian Voluntary Organization’s team at the World Earth Summit in Durban.
