Articles about Kamala Khan
Kamala Khan is a superhero character who appears in the American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Khan is the first-ever Muslim character in Marvel to get a comic book solely dedicated to her. Khan has been created by editor Stephen Wacker and Sana Amanat, artists Jamie McKelvie, Adrian Alphona, and writer G. Willow Wilson. In February 2014, the character made her debut in the solo series ‘Ms. Marvel.’ Khan is a Muslim-American teenager from New Jersey who possesses inhuman genes activated by the Terrigen Bomb. The character also possesses shapeshifting abilities. Khan is an ardent fan of Carol Danvers, the former Ms. Marvel. With the help and support of her unrequited crush and friend Bruno Carrelli, she dedicated herself to discarding all the criminal elements of Jersey City. Khan’s first clash with a Super Villain came in the form of ‘The Inventor’ which is a failed clone of Thomas Edison. She overcomes the lunatic’s technological error and sends him to local lock-up. In 2015, the first volume of Ms. Marvel received the Hugo Award for the best graphic story. Iman Vellani will portray Khan’s character in the 2022 ‘Ms. Marvel' series and the 2023 film ‘The Marvels.’
