Gurmmeet Singh is an Indian director and producer who predominantly works in the Bollywood film industry. In 2001, his first short film ‘Fear This’ was selected into the Digital Talkies International Film Festival which features different genres of films across the globe. Singh started his career in the film industry in 2003, working as an assistant director for films like ‘Ramji Londonwaley,’ ‘Jodhaa Akbar,’ ‘Gandhi, My Father,’ and ‘Don.’ His debut as an editor came with the 2004 movie ‘Chai Pani Etc.’ Following this, he went on to direct, produce, write and edit various other short films that featured at different film festivals. Singh’s directorial debut came in 2013 with India’s first underwater 3D film ‘Warning,’ starring Manjari Fadnnis and Varun Sharma. In the same year, he directed the comedy film ‘What the Fish,’ starring Dimple Kapadia. In 2015, he directed the comedy thriller film ‘Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene.’ In 2017, he wrote the dialogues and screenplay for the 2017 romantic comedy film ‘Mubarakan.’ Singh also served as the episodic director and co-producer for Amazon Prime’s ‘Inside Edge’ for two seasons. Following this, he went on to direct two seasons of ‘Mirzapur.’ He has also directed the upcoming horror comedy film ‘Phone Bhoot,’ starring Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter, and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
