Born in a family of actors and producers, Tusshar Kapoor was meant to enter the film industry as an actor and producer. He is the son of Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor and the brother of Ekta Kapoor. He entered the industry as an assistant director and worked with David Dhawan in his movies. Later, he joined the acting classes of Roshan Taneja and Mahendra Verma and trained in dance with Nimesh Bhatt. In 2001, Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai’, which emerged as a blockbuster film and won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. In the following years, the actor appeared in ‘Jeena Sirf Merre Liye’, ‘Yeh Dil’, and ‘Gayab’, which flopped at the box office. However, Kapoor gained popularity when he was cast in the ‘Golmaal’ series. ‘Golmaal’, ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’, ‘Shootout at Wadala’, and ‘Golmaal Again’ proved to be commercially hit movies of Kapoor. In 2020, he debuted as a producer with ‘Laxmii’ starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani.
