Dushyant Singh Chautala, born on April 3, 1988, in Hisar, is an Indian politician from Haryana belonging to the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP). As of 2021, he is the Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana. Chautala belongs to an illustrious family of politicians in Haryana who have ardently worked towards the upliftment of the farmers, a significant percentage of the state's population. He has a business administration degree from California State University as well as a master's degree in law. In 2014, he contested his first Lok Sabha election on behalf of grandfather OP Chautala's party, the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), and became the youngest-ever Member of Parliament. He, however, left the party in 2018 to form his own Jannayak Janta Party (JPP), along with his father, Arjun Chautala. In 2019, after winning 10 seats, Chautala joined hands with BJP and formed an alliance in the Haryana Legislative Assembly. It was the same year that he was elected Deputy Chief Minister. A rising star in the world of politics, Chautala is a part of 11 crucial portfolios in the Haryana government.
