Piaggio & C. SpA is an Italian motor vehicle manufacturer which currently produces two-wheelers and compact commercial vehicles under seven brands - Vespa, Gilera, Piaggio, Moto Guzzi, Aprilia, Derbi, and Scarabeo. Its headquarters are present in Pontedera, Italy and was established by Rinaldo Piaggio in 1884, initially making locomotives and railway carriages. The company operates in over 50 countries and has six research and development centers.
