The A15 Bionic is Apple’s latest in-house chipset based on TMSC’s 5nm production process. It has six CPU cores divided into two performance cores and four power efficiency cores, and up to five-core GPU. The chipset is equipped with 15.8 billion transistors and a custom 16-core Neural Engine which speeds up the AI tasks such as Siri’s voice, Face ID unlock, and focusing on faces in photos, among others, by using machine learning technology. The iPhone 13 series of smartphones are powered by the A15 Bionic processor.
