Polestar: News

Polestar is a Swedish automobile brand headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. The brand’s origins can be traced back to 1996 with the founding of Flash Engineering, a Swedish racing team, which was later sold and rebranded to Polestar Racing, Volvo Cars’ partner. In 2009, it became the official Volvo partner and started modifying existing models under the Polestar Performance brand. Volvo bought the company in 2015. Since 2017, Chinese multinational company Geely describes Polestar as an independent brand and consecutively co-owned by it and Volvo Cars. The brand manufactures electric performance cars.
