iOS 15 is Apple’s custom Operating System (OS) for iPhones. Announced in June 2021, it comes with a range of new and upgraded features. FaceTime can now extend beyond Apple to Android and Windows devices. It also gets features like spatial audio, Portrait mode, and a new grid view for group video calls. The OS also introduces SharePlay, enhanced 3D Maps, redesigned notifications section, Live Text, Spotlight Search, a redesigned Safari browser, Find My iPhone in offline mode, and Focus Mode, which filters notifications based on what a user wants to focus on. Siri now has on-device speech recognition which protects the user information. iOS 15 also offers Mail Privacy Protection by hiding IP addresses from senders.
