Born on November 1, 1987, Ileana D’Cruz is an Indian-born Portuguese actress who predominantly appears in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi movies. She holds the nationality of India and Portugal. An Indian national by birth, she acquired the nationality of Portugal in 2014. She made her film debut with the 2006 Telugu movie ‘Devadasu’ for which she received a Filmfare Award. She made her debut in the Tamil film industry with the movie ‘Kedi’ the same year. In 2012, she made her Hindi film industry debut with the movie ‘Barfi’ alongside Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor. As of 2021, she has appeared in more than 20 Indian movies. Some of her critically-lauded and commercially successful movies include ‘Pokiri’ (2006), ‘Kedi’ (2006), ‘Jalsa’ (2008), ‘Kick’ (2009), ‘Julayi’ (2012), ‘Nanban’ (2012), ‘Main Tera Hero’ (2014), ‘Rustom’ (2016), ‘Baadshaho’ (2017) and ‘Raid’ (2018). She was in a relationship with the Australian photographer Andrew Kneebone, but the couple broke up in 2019.
