KT Rama Rao, also known as KTR, is an Indian politician from Telangana who is serving as the Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Industries & Commerce, and Information Technology, as of 2021. Rao is a member of the Legislative Assembly for Sircilla and is also serving as the working president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). He was born on July 24, 1976, in Telangana to K Chandrashekar Rao who is serving as the Chief Minister of Telangana, as of 2021. Rao completed his education at Nizam College, University of Pune, and the City University of New York. In 2009, he began his political journey when he contested the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections representing the Sircilla Assembly constituency. During his tenure as TRS President, Rao offered his respect to CRPF personnel who died in the Pulwama attack. He also donated Rs. 25 lakh from his own income. In 2015, Rao established the largest start-up incubator called T-Hub. In the same year, he also launched the Water Grid Scheme in Telangana, and in 2017, he laid the foundation stone for IMAGE (Innovation in Multimedia, Animation, Gaming, and Entertainment) Tower at Hyderabad Knowledge City. In 2015, Ritz Magazine and CNN-IBN felicitated him as the Most Inspirational Icon of the Year.
