Born on September 9, 1960, English actor Hugh John Mungo Grant has several awards and accolades under his belt. He is best known for his performance in movies ‘Maurice’ (1987), ‘The Remains of The Day’ (1993), ‘Sense and Sensibility’ (1995), and ‘Restoration’ (1995). A graduate from University of Oxford, Grant made his acting debut with the 1982 movie ‘Privileged’ which was a production by University of Oxford. As of 2021, he has appeared in more than 30 movies. Some of his other critically-lauded and commercially successful movies include ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ (1994), ‘Notting Hill’ (1999), ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’ (2001), ‘About A Boy’ (2002), ‘Two Weeks Notice’ (2002), ‘Love Actually’ (2003), and ‘Music and Lyrics’ (2007), ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’ (2016), ‘Paddington 2’ (2017), ‘A Very English Scandal’ (2018), ‘The Gentlemen’ (2019), and ‘The Undoing’ (2020). He is the recipient of one Golden Globes Award, a BAFTA Award, an Honorary Cesar and a Volpi Cup. Grant has five children. He married Swedish television producer Anna Eberstein in 2018, with whom he has three children. Politically, Grant identifies himself as a Liberal Democrat and has supported Liberal Democrat MP Danny Alexander in 2015 UK general elections. In 2019, he campaigned for tactical voting to stop Brexit. In 1995, he was arrested for receiving oral sex from a sex worker in a public place and was fined $1,180 and was placed on two-year probation. In 2007, he was arrested over allegations of assault made by paparazzo Ian Whittaker.
