Andrew Garfield is an American-British actor and film producer. He has received numerous accolades in his career, including a British Academy Television Award and a Tony Award. Garfield has also been nominated for an Academy Award, thrice for the British Academy Film Awards, a Laurence Olivier Award, and twice for the Golden Globe Awards. Garfield was born on August 20, 1983, in California and is an alumnus of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He started his career as a theater artist and primarily worked in stage acting. At the age of nine, he took acting lessons in Guildford, Surrey, and also appeared in a youth theater production of ‘Bugsy Malone.’ In 2005, he made his debut in British television with the Channel 4 teen series called ‘Sugar Rush.’ He gained recognition after appearing in series 3 of BBC’s science fiction TV program ‘Doctor Who.’ He also appeared in films like ‘The Social Network,’ ‘Never Let Me Go,’ ‘The Amazing Spider-Man,’ ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ among others. His other projects include ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye,’ and Dustin Lance Black’s miniseries ‘Under the Banner of Heaven.’
