Amit Trivedi, born in Mumbai on April 8, 1979, is an Indian contemporary music director, singer, and lyricist. He started composing music in his late teenage years and had even composed worked with McDonald's and Airtel to compose advertisement jingles. He debuted as a film music composer with the 2008 Bollywood film ‘Aamir’ and his critically acclaimed work in the 2009 film ‘Dev.D’ helped him earn the National Film Award for Best Music Direction in 2009. He is also credited with composing the team anthem ‘Game for More’ for the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2009. He even composed the title track for the TV show ‘Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi’, hosted by actor Amitabh Bachchan. Trivedi won the Best Song honor for ‘Naina Da Kya Kasoor’ from the 2018 flick ‘Andhadhun’ at the News18 Reel Movie Awards. Power Brands had also conferred him with the Best Music Director of the Year award for ‘Andhadhun’ at the Bollywood Film Journalists Awards (BFJA) in 2019.
