Jagan Mohan Reddy began his political career by campaigning for the Indian National Congress in the 2004 Andhra Pradesh state elections in the Kadapa district. He was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Kadapa seat as a member of the Indian National Congress in the 2009 Indian general election. His party won 151 of the total 175 seats in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, one of the biggest landslide victories in the state's history, thanks to his contributions to the party's successes at the state and national levels. As much as he has done for his constituents, he has also concentrated his efforts on establishing a strong and stable foundation for his future in government. He is well-liked in Andhra Pradesh and is also known for his razor-sharp reasoning.
