Marcus Peter Stoinis is an Australian right-handed batsman and right-arm medium bowler, who plays limited-overs cricket for Australia. He was born on August 16, 1989, and made his T20 International debut and One Day International debut in 2015 against England. As of 2021, Stoinis has played 45 ODI matches and has maintained a batting average of 31.60 and a bowling average of 45.64. He has played 28 T20 International matches, as of 2021, and has maintained a batting average of 25.70 and a bowling average of 35.90. He has been associated with Western Australia, Perth Scorchers, Victoria, and Melbourne Stars in domestic cricket. He made his debut in the Indian Premier League in 2015 with Delhi Daredevils. Subsequently, he was bought by Kings XI Punjab for the 2016, 2017, and 2018 editions of the IPL, and in 2019 by Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2020-2021 edition of the IPL.
