Jawa Motorcycles: News
Jawa is a motorcycle manufacturer headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic. It was founded in 1929 by Frantisek Janecek, who, instead of starting from scratch, purchased the Wanderer motorcycle business from a German manufacturer Winklhofer and Jaenicke. The name “Jawa” was derived from the first two letters of ‘Jaenicke’ and ‘Wanderer’, and the first Jawa 500 OHV motorcycle was produced. It was followed by the Jawa 175, the Jawa 350 SV, and the Jawa Perak. Currently, its portfolio includes models like the Jawa 42 and the Jawa RMV 500.
