Shweta Tiwari, born on October 4, 1980, is an Indian actress who predominantly works in the Hindi television and film industries. She first appeared on TV on Doordarshan in 1999. Her first television serial was 'Kaleerein', which aired on DD National (formerly DD1), in which she played the role of a daughter. However, it was her role as the main lead, Prerna, in Ekta Kapoor's successful soap opera 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' that gained her popularity. Some of the TV series she has featured in include 'Begusarai' as Bindiya Thakur, 'Mere Dad Ki Dulhan', and Parvarrish', among others. Tiwari won the fourth season of the reality TV show 'Bigg Boss' and earned first place in the show 'Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur' in 2011. She was a contestant in 'Nach Baliye 2' (2006), 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6' (2015), 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11'. Tiwari is the brand ambassador of Trovant.
