The famous rugby player who turned into a Bollywood actor, director, and screenwriter, Rahul Bose, started his career in Bengali films and has become a renowned face in Hindi cinema, too. Initially, Bose started working with an agency as a copywriter. However, he quit his job to pursue a career as a full-time actor. His first film, 'English, August' released in 1994, where he played the lead role. The movie got him international recognition and won international film awards. Due to immense fame, he got cast in BBC World's 'Style!'. After appearing in numerous movies and TV series, Bose made a directorial debut with the film 'Everybody Says I'm Fine!' in 2001. In 2003, he entered mainstream Bollywood with the film 'Jhankaar Beats' followed by 'Mumbai Matinee', which was a flop at the box office. In the 2010 anthology film 'I Am', he played the role of a gay man and received wide appreciation from critics. Over the decade, Bose's films won many IIFA and National Film Awards. In 2020, he was seen in the Netflix Original' Bulbbul' in which he played a double role.
