A proud recipient of a National Film Award and one Filmfare Award, Tigmanshu Dhulia is a writer, director, producer, and actor in the Hindi film industry. After completing his graduation, Dhulia secured a Master’s degree from the National School of Drama in theater studies. In 1990, he moved to Mumbai and worked as the casting director for the film ‘Bandit Queen’ and worked as the assistant in 'Electric Moon’ (1992) and ‘Sardar’ (1993). Later, he started focusing on television and directed and produced multiple shows, including a show for UK’s Channel Four. In 1999, the show ‘Star Bestsellers’ earned Dhulia great recognition nationwide. Dhulia made his directorial debut with his first feature film ‘Haasil’ in 2003. ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns’, ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, and ‘Bullet Raja’ are some of his popular films in Bollywood. The director has also turned into a YouTuber.
