KL Rahul: News
One of the few cricketers who can play and make an impact in all three formats of the game, KL Rahul is one of the many talented players Karnataka has given the Indian team. Rahul made his first-class debut in the 2010-11 Ranji Trophy season. It was, however, in the 2013-2014 season that he began to create noise. In the Duleep Trophy the following season, he scored hundreds in both innings against Central Zone, and that paved the way for his Test entry. Rahul made his Test debut in 2014 against Australia. He scored a century in the next, Sydney Test after playing in his favored position—opener. His ODI debut came in 2016 against Zimbabwe. He scored 100* and became the first Indian to score a century on his ODI debut. Rahul scored a century in his fourth T20I match and became the fastest player to score a century in all three formats of the game. A classy batsman who has the right temperament to adapt to various situations in a Test match and T20I match alike, Rahul became a mainstay at the top of the order in all three formats.
