Born on October 29, 1971, Matthew Hayden, who is now a cricket commentator, is a former Australian cricketer. The career of this powerful and aggressive cricketer spanned 15 years. Hayden, who is known to score quickly at both Test and One Day levels, was a left-handed opening batsman. He has also scored the highest runs made by an Australian team’s opening batsman in Tests. He is also widely known to have formed the most prolific opening partnerships in world Test cricket for Australia with Justin Langer as well as in ODI cricket with Adam Gilchrist. In September 2012, Hayden announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, and by 2017, he was inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame. He was selected for the role of Batting Coach of Pakistan for the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in September 2021.
