Sonu Nigam: News
Sonu Nigam is an Indian singer, music composer, and actor born on July 30, 1973. He has sung in numerous languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Tulu, Gujarati, Bengali, Odia, Marathi, and Nepali, among others. His first song in Bollywood was 'O Aasman Wale" from the movie 'Aaja Meri Jaan' (1993). His first album, titled 'Rafi Ki Yaadein' was also released in 1993. In the following years, Nigam has sung in numerous films including, 'Sainik', 'Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi', 'Bheega Bheega Sa', 'Sangharsh', 'Kasam Teri Kasam', 'Aur Pyar Ho Gaya', 'Ramjaane', 'Mast', and 'Badal', among others. In 2011, he collaborated with international pop sensation Britney Spears on a remix of her 'I Wanna Go' track, and in 2012, with DJ Avicii on his song 'Indian Levels'. He is often referred to as the "Modern Rafi." He hosted the music show 'Sa Re Ga Ma' during 1995-99 and served as a judge on 'Sa Re ga Ma Pa L'il Champs International' and 'Indian Idol' (seasons 1 & 2), among others. He has won several awards, including one National Award, two Filmfare Awards, and two Filmfare Awards South.
