Jai Hemant Shroff, aka Tiger Shroff, is an actor and a martial artist working in the Hindi cinema since 2014. He is the son of popular Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff and producer Ayesha Dutt. Born in a family of actors, Shroff was always meant to join Bollywood. In 2012, the actor was approached by Sajid Nadiadwala for his upcoming project ‘Heropanti’. In 2014, Shroff made his debut in the industry with ‘Heropanti', which emerged as a commercial success at the box office. In the same year, he was awarded an honorary fifth-degree black belt in Taekwondo. Shroff also earned the Screen Award and IIFA Award for best male debut actor for 'Heropanti'. Two years later, Shroff teamed again with Sajid Nadiadwala for ‘Baaghi’ opposite Shraddha Kapoor, and the movie became a hit at the box office. In the following years, Shroff was cast in ‘A Flying Jatt’ and ‘Munna Michael’. Both the movies failed at the box office. The sequel to his second film, ‘Baaghi 2’, was released in 2018, and it was a commercial hit. In the 2019 film ‘War’, Shroff featured alongside Hrithik Roshan, and the film became the highest-grossing movie of the year. Shroff has a lot of projects in the pipeline as of 2021.
