Priyanka Chaturvedi is an Indian politician who serves as the National Spokesperson of the Indian National Congress. She is also serving as the Deputy Leader of Shiv Sena and a member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra. She was born on November 19, 1979, and completed her education at the University of Delhi. Chaturvedi began her career as a Director of MPower Consultants. In 2010, she joined Congress and in 2012, she was appointed as the General Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress from North-West Mumbai. In 2019, she joined Shiv Sena under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray. Following this, she was appointed as the Deputy Leader of Shiv Sena. Chaturvedi had also participated in the Asian Forum on Global Governance program which was jointly organized by Zeit Stiftung and Observer Research Foundation. As of 2021, she also serves as a Trustee of Prayas Charitable Trust which runs two schools to provide education to more than 200 deprived children. Chaturvedi serves as a host of an interview program called ‘Meri Kahaani’ on Sansad TV.
