A Punjabi actor, singer, and producer, Amninderpal Singh Virk aka Ammy Virk was born on May 11, 1992, in Patiala. With his Patiala Shahi Turban, his Bhangra, and incredible acting skills, Virk has carved a place for himself in the Punjabi film industry. Virk began his career as a singer. His first album ‘Chandigarh Diyan Kudiyan’ was released in 2011. He made his film debut with ‘Angrej’ that released in 2015. With that performance, he established himself as an actor to look out for. In 2016, he made his debut as a lead actor in ‘Bambukat’ for which he won the Best Actor Critics Award at the Filmfare Awards Punjabi. Virk’s best role yet, however, came in the same year in ‘Nikka Zaildar’. His character Nikka which he reprised in the movie’s sequels in 2017 and 2019 is considered as one of the most loved characters in Punjabi cinema. In 2021, he made his Bollywood debut in ‘Bhuj the Pride of India.’
