Popularly known as the "New Age Action Hero" of the Hindi film industry, Vidyut Jammwal is an actor, martial artist, and stunt performer. Born in Jammu, he traveled and lived in different parts of the country as his father was an Army officer. Jammwal started practicing martial arts at the age of three. He traveled to various countries to train in various forms of martial arts. He performed live-action shows in 25 countries and finally landed in Mumbai in 2000. In 2011, the actor appeared in a Telugu film 'Sakthi', and in the same year, he made his Bollywood debut alongside John Abraham in 'Force'. Jammwal won multiple accolades, including the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut, for his performance in the film. After featuring in a few Telugu films, Jammwal appeared in his next Hindi film 'Commando' (2013), where he played combat-action without stuntmen. The film emerged as a success at the box office. Further, he appeared in 'Bullet Raja', 'Commando 2', and 'Baadshaho', among others. He also starred in the 2019 film 'Junglee', American filmmaker Chuck Russell's first Bollywood movie. As of 2021, he was working on multiple projects, including 'Sanak' and 'Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II'.
