Born on May 25, 1976, Cillian Murphy is an Irish actor best known for his performance in the television drama series, ‘Peaky Blinders.’ Before starting out as an actor, Murphy was the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter of the rock band ‘The Sons of Mr. Green Genes.’ He made his professional stage debut with the 1996 play ‘Disco Pigs,’ written by Enda Walsh. Between 1996 and 2021, Murphy has appeared in at least 13 theater plays. He made his film debut in 1997 in a short film titled, ‘Quando.’ However, he rose to prominence with the post-apocalyptic horror drama film ’28 Days Later’ (2002). Between 1997 and 2021, Murphy has appeared in more than 30 movies. As of 2021, he has also appeared in five TV Shows. He is the recipient of one GQ UK Award, two Irish Film & Television Awards, and one National Television Award, as of 2021. He has also received one Golden Globe Award nomination.
